The Heart of Cats Galore

Cats Galore began in 2018 when Anna couldn’t ignore the growing number of strays needing help around Chigwell and nearby areas. What started as one woman feeding and caring for local cats has grown into a small, community rescue that gives unwanted and abandoned cats a second chance.

We’re not a registered charity — just a group of ordinary people doing our best to make a difference. Every cat that comes to us receives love, safety, and proper care before being matched with a forever home.

Thanks to the kindness of our supporters, we can continue rescuing, vetting, and rehoming cats across Essex. Each donation, share, or kind word helps save a life.

Happy Endings

"When little Tilly arrived, she was terrified and underweight. Anna took her in, nursed her back to health and helped us adopt her once she was ready. Now she’s confident, playful and utterly spoiled!"

Claire & Tom, Chelmsford

"Smudge was found alone in a garden at just four weeks old. Cats Galore bottle-fed her around the clock and matched her with us once she was strong enough. She’s the heart of our home now."

Lauren W., Brentwood

"We adopted brothers Max and Milo after seeing them on the Cats Galore page. Anna made the whole process easy and personal — it’s clear she truly loves every cat she rescues."

Sarah K., Chigwell
